## About the Role We're looking for a Director of Engineering to lead and grow our 10-person engineering team. This is a hybrid leadership role — you'll be equally comfortable diving into technical challenges and developing the people and processes that help the team thrive. You'll play a critical role in shaping how we build and scale our technology.

## What You'll Do - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 10 engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement - Partner with product, design, and business stakeholders to define technical strategy and roadmap priorities - Drive architectural decisions and ensure engineering best practices are adopted across the team - Own the engineering delivery process — improving velocity, quality, and predictability without sacrificing developer experience - Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent as the team scales - Serve as a technical escalation point, helping the team navigate complex problems and make sound trade-offs - Champion engineering culture, setting the tone for how the team works, communicates, and grows

## What We're Looking For - 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an engineering leadership role (e.g. Engineering Manager, Staff Engineer, or Director) - Proven track record of managing and developing engineering teams of 8–15 people - Strong generalist technical background with the ability to engage credibly across a range of systems and technologies - Experience partnering cross-functionally with product and business stakeholders to align on priorities and deliver results - Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and vice versa - Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on technical involvement with strategic people leadership
